Is Rockwell a Rockwon’t?
Well, there’s been much back and forth on the Rockwell issue, and now the city is losing patience with the whole thing. See the Oconomowoc Focus story: City will not offer funding to Rockwell Development:
Mayor Maury Sullivan met this week with Rockwell’s Rob Perry, and made it clear staff will be spending no more time with the developers.
(Mayor Maury Sullivan said) “I am not oppositional to their development, (I’m) just not spending any more time with them or committing any more staff time,” Sullivan said.
“They came late and didn’t present all their information,” Sullivan said. “In June the city will make its own decision.”
All of those artist renderings of the downtown area look so nice… Now it’s just a matter of whether or not it will ever become reality, and if so, who will pay for it.
