St. Nick is Coming

The Feast Day of St. Nick is December 6th… Who is this St. Nick guy, and what does he have to do with pawnbrokers?

Some feel that St. Nick’s reputation both as the saint of pawnbrokers and as Santa Claus may stem from his generosity. St. Nicholas is said to have thrown three bags of gold into a house, late at night, to save three girls from lives as prostitutes.

Wow, nice job St. Nick, who knew? What a nice guy…

Forecast for December 6th: Expect stockings filled with goodies! Hooray for St. Nick!

    ha if he gave three girls gold, he probably wasn’t doin it to save them, he was probably doin it so that he could be DOIN it
