The Wizard of Oz

I know that many people are scared, or at least a little freaked out by The Wizard of Oz, but some people actually like it. Did you know that The Wizard of Oz premiered in Oconomowoc?

August 12, 1939: The world premiere of MGM’s The Wizard of Oz is held at the Strand Theatre in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. It is shown through September 16, 1939. It should be noted that this is considered the “official” anniversary date for The Wizard of Oz.

I’m really not sure whether to be proud or ashamed of this fact…
