Lock Your Doors

While Oconomowoc is fairly free of crime, it seems there have been a rash of car break-ins reported:

One night in June, Jammie Anick parked her vehicle in the garage just like she always does. Unfortunately, the garage door became stuck and was left open overnight.

“Some unknown persons snuck in and entered the unlocked vehicles in the garage and stole a bag of licorice, my cell phone, a set of keys and the vehicle owner’s manual,” Anick said.

The best advice in this regard comes from Detective Cris Harnisch of the Oconomowoc Police Department:

“Vehicles are broken into when owners leave them unlocked or unattended, and it is a matter of opportunity,” Harnisch said. “Lock ‘em up and don’t leave valuables in them.”

Lock ‘em up folks! You don’t want to lose your licorice or your cell phone.
