Oconomowoc Newcomers Club

Did you know about a group called the Oconomowoc Newcomers Club? Here’s an excerpt from their mission statement:

The Oconomowoc Newcomers Club is open to anyone interested in meeting new people, having fun and getting to know our community better… Our mission is primarily social, but there are also many opportunities to get involved with community service projects or volunteer within the club.

It sounds like a good idea. If you’re new to the area, or just looking to meet new people, check them out.

Looking for volunteer opportunities for my brother who lives in Oconomowoc. He is in his fifties, has a lot of talents and skills, a big heart and lost his wife to cancer a year ago. Where can he go to find a way “to give back” to the community? THANKS!

What is Newcomers? The Club is open to anyone interested in meeting new people, having fun and getting to know the community better. Many of the club’s members (comprised of women) are new to the area, while some are long-time residents who just enjoy making new friends and welcoming others to the exceptional Lake Country area. There are lots of fun things to participate in such as Bunco, Dinner Club, Book Club, Restaurant Night, Moms & Tots, Wine Tasting, and Secret Sisters. A monthly meeting is also enjoyed by the membership. The $25 annual dues helps to fund the wonderful array of activities, outings and monthly gatherings.
